Carpigiani Gelato University
The traditional art of expert gelato makers and pastry chefs is handed down to new generations thanks to the many activities of Carpigiani Gelato University, the first gelato University, founded in 2003. Carpigiani offers beginner and advanced courses in their headquarters in Anzola Emilia (Bologna) and in all Carpigiani branches of the world. From Italy, to the US, to Japan and Australia, England, Africa, Latin America and China: with the skilled support of distinguished Carpigiani master gelato makers, it is possible to become an authentic gelato artist anywhere.

Gelato University In The UK
The international success of the Carpigiani Gelato University has been demonstrated nowhere more so than in the UK. Following the first session held in 2003, its popularity has grown enormously, with Carpigiani UK planning 33 half day introductory courses in 2008.

“An increasingly discerning public demand quality products. The trend for all things artisan and a focus on food traceability has pushed demand for what we have to offer within the Gelato University programme”, comments Paul Ingram the Managing Director of Carpigiani UK Ltd.

“We are able to stay close to our customers, possibly from the initial inception of the idea to enter the ice cream market. We are always on hand to assist with recipe development to help our customers businesses grow. Most ice-cream makers will tell you that success depends not from having the biggest range of flavours, but from the quality of the ice cream itself. Quality is a fundamental corner stone of the principles explored within Gelato University. However, innovative recipes that create new flavours and improve on those of competitors will also benefit our customers businesses going forward over many years”.

HALF DAY UK COURSES
A series of FREE ‘introductory’ sessions open to anyone interested in ice cream and the profit opportunity that ‘home-made’ ice cream might represent. Whether you are already producing ice cream and are looking for new ideas, methods, techniques or ingredients or whether you are just curious about opening an ice cream parlour or turning part of your business into this activity or simply creating a new menu offering, this course may be of interest to you.
