Fast forward to the early 2000s and the first Archie’s store opened in Manchester. Focusing on the very best quality produce for their burgers and thick shakes, the brothers quickly created a standout brand, attracting a loyal customer base including local celebrities keen to be seen at Archie’s.
“The four of us are really close”, explains Asim Rafiq, Owner / Operations Director, “we work together, we all have our own roles, and we’re totally focused on Archie’s and keeping the stores running to an extremely high standard as we expand and develop the brand further. From our first opening in Manchester, we now have 10 and have moved into Sheffield and Leeds as well as Manchester Airport. I think you could say we have totally filled Manchester with Archie’s, and every store is busy, churning out our signature thick shakes and burgers.”
With ten Archie’s locations around the Northwest, and each having 1 or 2 XVL3 machines, Asim decided to take out the Carpigiani Total Care package. This includes a warranty extension and ensures the equipment has an annual service to keep them all up and running and prevent downtime.
The thick shakes are a magnet for customers who can now choose from a menu of over 15 shakes featuring favourites such as Million Dollar and Go Bananas as well as signature shakes created with celebrities; the Ora-Liscious, The Mayweather, The Hart Shake (no further explanation needed!).
“It’s a complete ‘no-brainer’”, exclaims Asim, “the Carpigiani Total Care package just removes that worry about the equipment, as I know that it’s well looked after; they contact me to book in annual services and if anything does go wrong, they’re on the end of the phone and sort it out as a top priority. Working with the team at Carpigiani has made a massive difference to Archie’s. The XVL3 is amazing and delivers constant soft serve, we save time and money with the self-pasteurisation and the Total Care Package is just the icing on the cake or the sprinkles on a shake!
