We act as the data controller when processing your data. The Company processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations and to provide you with our products and services. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and do not process your information in any way, other than as specified in this notice.

The Company does not currently use any automated decision making software or mechanisms.

The Company may use a third-party to provide the below services and business functions; however, all processors acting on our behalf only process your data in accordance with instructions from us and comply fully with this privacy notice, the data protection laws and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

We use the legitimate interests’ legal basis for processing your personal data in the performance of a contract or to provide a service and to ensure that orders are completed and can be sent out to your preferred address, the provision of any request for Quotation or Equipment detail, specification or brochures and have identified that our interests are the lawful process of and in connection with and for conducting our legitimate business processes.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.

Privacy notice – Job applicants
Carpigiani UK Ltd process personal data relating to those who apply for job vacancies with us or who send speculative job applications to us. We do this for employment purposes, to assist us in the selection of candidates for employment, and to assist in the running of the business. The personal data may include identifiers such as name, date of birth, personal characteristics such as gender, qualifications and previous employment history.
We will not share any identifiable information about you with third parties without your consent unless the law allows or requires us to do so. The personal data provided during an application process will be retained for a period of at least six months or, if required by law, for as long as is required.
